Orders over 140 lb will be shipped freight via a Freight LTL carrier. All freight shipments require someone to be present when the pallet arrives to sign the receipt of goods and receive the package. We price freight shipping based on each purchase as every area of the country is different with shipment cost. With most orders, it will be required to have a forklift or other equipment available to unload the semi-trailer.
If you are having a freight shipment sent to a residence, the freight carrier should contact you to setup a time for dropping the shipment. If no one is present to receive the a shipment at the scheduled appointment time, you will be charged a NO-SHOW FEE ($80-$475 depending on each case) for what each freight carrier charges.
Lift Gate Service
Please let us know if your shipping address is equipped with a loading dock or forklift capabilities. If it is not, you will require a lift gate service for safe unloading.
Remote access charges
Some areas of the Unites States have been deemed “remote access zones” by freight companies. For freight shipments only (over 140 lb), addresses within a remote access zone will have a remote access handling fee applied based on a per carrier basis.
Freight Damages & Lost Shipments
In the rare case of receiving an item that has been damaged during transit, it is the CUSTOMER’S responsibility to note any damage on the Delivery Receipt and refuse the shipment by noting it on the handheld device provided by the driver. Upon delivery please inspect the items prior to signing the delivery receipt. If you receive a damaged item and would like to return it, DO NOT SIGN THE DELIVERY RECEIPT, and make sure to note on the delivery receipt that the item was received damaged. You will also be responsible for filing a freight claim with the carrier. We will advocate on your behalf, and assist in negotiating with the carrier to remedy the situation.
Please notify us as soon as you believe your order is missing. If your order has been lost in transit, we will work with the carrier to find it. Please give us up to two weeks from the time we notify the carrier of the issue to locate your order.
